Perhaps, I will write a poem today.
One poem will do,  I know. 
I want to write a poem today.  
Any poem will do,  I hope.  
Come to me today, my poem.  
I will wait for you,  with kind words. 

“Insistence, persistence and resistance” is a poetry book, the theme is miscellaneous intact the author speaks about herself, her family, her life… but also about politics (like the poetry “Upon Hearing Barack’s Word”) and microwave! 

The musicality of this poem is perfect and some poetry remembered me the iambic pentameter. And I like so much the way that the emotion pass through words. 

Personally, however, I would have preferred a logical thread between the various poems or in any case an arrangement that conveyed a sort of common thread

Siamo di fronte ad un libro di poesie il cui tema è miscellaneo: abbiamo poesie molto personali ed autobiografiche che parlano di sé, della sua famiglia e della sua vita, ma abbiamo anche poesie “impegnate” sul tema della politica (come nel caso di Upon Hearing Barack’s Word) che si alternano a poesie riguardo il microonde! 

La musicalità delle poesie è veramente ottima e alcuni passaggi mi hanno ricordato il pentrametro giambico di Shakespeare. Ho inoltre apprezzato molto il modo in cui le emozioni passano attraverso le parole dell’autrice. 

Unica pecca: personalmente avrei preferito un collegamento logico fra le varie poesie o comunque una sorta di fil-rouge. 

Quindi, concludendo, una bella lettura molto consigliata
